The Sunblazers Story
The California Sunblazers began in early 1996. Our chapter membership extends from Southern
California and up and down the San Joaquin Valley. We have members in Castaic, Temecula,
Littlerock, Modesto, Lindsey, and Corcoran, but the majority are in Bakersfield.
The California Sunblazers is an all-inclusive club. All women are welcome as full members, whether
they are riders or passengers. Men are welcome as support members, and we do have a few who
ride with us regularly. All bikes are welcome. All political views, religions, sexual preferences,
ethnicities, and ages are welcome. Those are not important to us; what's important is the riding and
the camaraderie. We prefer to keep meetings to a minimum; our motto is “We’d rather ride than
meet!”
The California Sunblazers ride sober and safe. Supporting and mentoring new riders is one of our
goals, however, we encourage each rider to recognize and honor her (and her motorcycle's)
limitations.
Our member-planned club ride is usually the first Saturday of each month. Members who want to
take an additional “side ride” may post to our club list, and we are off and riding together again.
What makes our chapter unique is that we have become a group of friends who do off-the-bikes
activities. Our monthly Book Group, the Sunblazers BookEnds, and our monthly dinner social, along
with special activities like attending performance arts and camping weekends, keep us active and in
touch with each other. We value the personal connection that our group enjoys.
If you are a woman who loves to drive or ride as passenger on motorcycles, motorbikes, scooters, or
trikes then this is the group for you! This organization welcomes your family members and you to
indulge your passion for riding with other discriminating hobbyists, at rallies, chapter meetings, tours,
or other events.
Our Mission: To unite all women motorcycle enthusiasts for recreation, education, mutual support, recognition, and to promote a positive image of motorcycling.
